This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and responsibilities of alumni to uphold the university's reputation and foster a supportive alumni community. By adhering to this code, we continue the legacy of excellence that defines SRM University Sonepat.

3. User Account Responsibilities

When creating an account on our alumni portal, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password confidential and not share access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Professional Conduct

  • Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest ethical standards in professional practice, avoiding conflicts of interest and maintaining transparency in all dealings.
  • Representation: When representing oneself as an alumnus/alumna of SRM University Sonepat, conduct oneself in a manner that reflects positively on the institution.
  • Networking: Use alumni connections for appropriate professional networking, avoiding exploitation of these relationships for unfair advantage.
  • Mentorship: When serving as mentors to current students or recent graduates, provide guidance that is ethical, professional, and in the mentee's best interest.
  • Continuous Learning: Commit to lifelong learning and professional development, maintaining and enhancing the knowledge and skills gained at SRM University Sonepat.

Violation of these standards may result in the suspension or termination of your account.

5. Engagement with the University

  • Respectful Communication: Engage in constructive dialogue with university officials, faculty, staff, and fellow alumni, showing respect even in disagreement.
  • Campus Visits: When visiting campus, adhere to university policies and procedures, respecting the academic environment and current students' educational experiences.
  • University Events: Conduct oneself appropriately at university events, following event guidelines and representing the alumni community with dignity.
  • Social Media: Exercise good judgment when referencing the university on social media or public forums, avoiding statements that could harm the university's reputation.
  • Alumni Association: Participate in alumni activities and governance in good faith, prioritizing the collective interests of the alumni community and university.

6. Support from University

  • Philanthropy: Any financial contributions to the university should be made transparently and without expectation of improper influence or special treatment.
  • Volunteering: When volunteering time and expertise to university initiatives, do so reliably and with professionalism.
  • Advocacy: Serve as positive ambassadors for the university, providing accurate information and constructive advocacy in professional and social circles.
  • Knowledge Sharing: When invited to share expertise with current students, provide current, accurate, and ethical guidance relevant to one's field.
  • Recruitment: Support student recruitment efforts ethically, providing honest accounts of the university experience and refraining from making promises beyond one's authority.

7. Implementation and Review

  • Acknowledgment: All alumni are encouraged to acknowledge and embrace this Code of Conduct upon joining the alumni association.
  • Enforcement: The Alumni Association, in cooperation with university administration, may address significant violations of this Code through appropriate measures.
  • Review Process: This Code of Conduct will be reviewed periodically by the Alumni Association Board to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
  • Suggestions: Alumni are encouraged to suggest improvements to this Code through established Alumni Association channels.
  • Interpretation: Questions regarding the interpretation or application of this Code may be directed to the Alumni Association leadership.

8. Our Collective Responsibility

The reputation and strength of SRM University Sonepat Delhi NCR are enhanced by the conduct and contributions of its alumni. By adhering to this Code of Conduct, alumni demonstrate commitment to the university's values and vision while building a supportive community that benefits current students, fellow alumni, and the broader society. This Code of Conduct was established by the SRM University Sonepat Delhi NCR Alumni Association.
